Privacy Policy
Draft — this page describes what the site actually does today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and should be before Moti Kenya handles real customer data, especially financing/identity documents.
Information we collect
Moti Kenya collects information you provide directly — such as when you submit a vehicle for sale, apply for financing, or contact us — including your name, contact details, and, for financing applications, identity and income documentation.
Cookies and local storage
We use one secure, functional cookie (httpOnly, not readable by scripts) to keep admin staff logged in. For visitors, your wishlist and recently-viewed vehicles are saved in your browser's local storage, not on our servers, and stay on your device only. We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If that changes, this policy and the cookie notice shown on the site will be updated first.
How we use your information
This information is used to process listings, evaluate financing applications, and communicate with you about your requests. We do not sell personal data to third parties.
Your rights
Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. Contact us at the details on our Contact page to exercise these rights.
Because financing applications involve sensitive identity and financial documents, this policy should be reviewed by a lawyer familiar with Kenyan data protection and consumer lending law before this site handles real customer data or processes real loan applications.
